Second Harvest Food Bank of San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties partnered with customer interaction firm ZURB to tackle all of the marketing for Change the Face of Hunger, Skip Lunch event. The whole process happened during one marketing marathon of a day, a literal 24-hour solid work session that went from idea to implementation.

Beth DeWolf, Director of Development and Communications: Beth is a southern ball of fire. She is the official ring master and manager of the circus. Whether she is asking executives for six figure gifts or disciplining staff she does her job with a wink and a smile. Her hobbies include baking miniature muffins and drinking Appletinis.
Linda Lyon, Associate Director of Major Gifts: Linda is our resident perfectionist. As a former hat maker, advertising guru, entertainment consultant and high tech professional Linda knows what it means to redefine and evolve. Her hobbies include participating in Community Theater and playing dress up with her toddler.
Tami Cardenas, Grants Manager: Tami is a retired South American backpacker who speaks fluent Spanish and is an expert in detecting counterfeit money. She is undaunted by authority and enjoys writing emotionally charged need statements for grant proposals. Her hobbies include reading about serial killers and roller skating.
Jeanna Licata, Institutional Giving Coordinator: In her formative years Jeanna was a cheerleader and beauty queen but don’t let her feminine side fool you because Jeanna has an impeccable track record when it comes to winning spontaneous bar fights with pseudo gang members. Jeanna has a special talent for infuriating out of control donors by speaking calmly in a cool repetitive pattern. Her hobbies include Tae Bo and shopping at Costco.
Lynn Crocker, Communications Manager: Lynn leads two separate lives. Her daytime persona charismatically represents the Food Bank on television while crafting marketing messages behind the scenes. Lynn’s nighttime persona is akin to that of a 40 year old rock star that thrives outside the margins of reality. Her hobbies include attending spiritual boot camp and jogging through strip malls during her lunch break.
Michelle Sklar, Annual Giving and Events Manager: Michelle is the type of woman who you know dances alone in front of the mirror at night. She turns phrases and coaxes wanton auction items out of high society women. Michelle lives on the fringe of the free world and has nominated herself ruler of the free word.
