materials I technique I large sizes Photo Impressions All prints are made from an original digital file, so there is no paper original. Each piece begins with a digital image created with the either the Sony DCS-S30 or DCS-S85 camera. A few of the pieces begin as composites of two digital photos, but most originate from one file. Once the image and composition are finalized the file is manipulated with Photoshop to create a "painterly" effect. Colors, shapes, sharpness, levels, and values are all controlled to create the desired outcome. Most of the pieces have digital remnants left in them, such as noise or pixelation, to showcase the true nature of the medium. My world is digital. I find excitement by combining computers with my understanding of color, composition, photography, painting, and sketching.
