12.16.03 :: ClickTracks launches a stunning, new website
ZURB really outdid themselves this time, unleasing an a powerful upgrade to www.clicktracks.com. Now, unstoppable, ClickTracks will continue to assert their presence in the market due to a strong brand and an effective product.
09.30.03 :: ZURB Buzz, Events and New Projects
+ ART FOR ANGELS--SEE YOU THERE!
I will be at the second annual Art for Angels event this weekend at The Officers Club in San Francisco.
There will be wine, food, music and 10 other artists exhibiting. Last year the event was fabulous, garnering more than $20,000 to support research of Angelman Syndrome. Read more about the event at artforangels.org. In preparation for the event I have also updated ZURBart with a few pieces that were previously unreleased to the general public. Check it out at: ZURBart.com
+ ImageZoo has asked me to do a series of illustrations. Using a new technique with Illustrator I have been creating vector based images. Look for the set soon!
+ VirtualPBX has launched a web application interface designed by ZURB. The current application allows for easily changing the interface for OEM partners.
+ QuickHost and MicroStrain have both signed up to do projects. Look for these new web sites in the coming months.
+ Another year of teaching has begun at Stanford University. This is my seventh year teaching and I still love every minute of it. Interested in following the class? www.StanfordDesign.org
+ Protego Networks recently launched a temporary web site to speed up their launch schedule. Look for more information over the next month at: www.protegonetworks.com
09.02.03 :: REDIMAT proto website goes live
With the launch of an intermediate website (redimat.com), ZURB has begun the process of helping REDIMAT increase search engine hits by optimizing the website. Content development, keyword density, and page structure are all part of an effort to gain more traffic. The design phase of the site will begin in the next few weeks.
Within the first three days, REDIMAT jumped into key top ten placements in both Yahoo and Google.
07.26.03 :: TransactTools and Protego hire ZURB
Over the next few months new work will be done with TransactTools and Protego Networks on specific projects to help them with their brand.
05.19.03 :: Updated Links and Gameface
I have updated the links page with a new setup- expect great links! Gameface is in the movies and new articles have been published.
04.21.03 :: Site Update
I have updated the current pulse with a new folder system and added a submit form. If you have a link worth looking viewing, shoot it my way. New illustration. New corporate photos.
Also, I was mentioned in a techrepublic.com Apr 11, 2003 article
(Drum up business during a downtime with partnerships and professional activities).(you will need to login)
03.30.03 :: Site updates
There are lots of things happening and currently most are in development. Ongoing additions include my headspace and
current pulse.
Projects currently in the works include web design, a web application and icons.
02.28.03 :: ZURB launches first peek of redesign
Like every professional who offers services, it is always hard to keep your own work updated. After a busy last month I finally launched the redesigned website.
I have added some new features and expect to automate portions of the site to keep it more fluid and fresh.
So why was the redesign tough? After receiving a lot of good feedback over the last three years, I didn't want to lose the fresh feel that prior navigation provided. I also wanted to keep the site fairly minimal on graphics (which is tough for a designer website) while still adding excitement. In the end, I feel like I was able to compromise without losing interest on the pages.
What's new?
02.19.03 :: Guest Lecturer in Stanford ME101 class
I had the opportunity today to give a 90-minute lecture on shading and setting up a sketch. Thanks to Craig Lauchner and Rebecca Mckinney for the invitation. Those
that missed my notes can follow up at the me110a website.
01.31.03 :: The first issue of ZURBnews
I'm embarking on yet another challenge-yeah, one is not enough-this time it's putting together the premier issue of ZURBnews-a newsletter that I hope will be interesting to write and, more importantly, interesting for you to read.
This is not one of those corporate mass mailings. It is also not a coupon for half off. It is design carefully crafted in the form of words sent to your inbox.
01.26.03 :: ZURBphotos is updated with two new series.
I have added two series... baja california and mothball fleet
to the photo collection. The mothball fleet is a bit different from my other photos, so let me know what you think. These are a bit cold and minimalist.
In addition, I have added a new section for news and updates. Hopefully this will be useful for knowing what is current. Along with this update, new photographers have been added to the links section.
Feel free to comment on my work- it is an ongoing learning experience. Email me at:
